Tips and Tricks
Read this newbie tips and tricks if you want to survive in Priston Tale!

Helpful shortcuts:

To refill potions in slots: hold shift, place your cursor on the potions in your inventory and while holding shift press 1, 2 or 3

To see items drop on ground: held down A button, it highlighted everything on the ground.

Game Commands

/:character message (send private message to the character)
/yahoo (make your character dance!)
/camera_wave_off (disable screen shaking from meteor or dia)
//party character (request party invite to character)

To set macro, type in start game setting: /TRADE buy xxx items. When you went into game, press ctrl+f1 to paste the message.

Aging

(+1) to (+4) Its 100% success. Item will never fail so do not waste aging stone/ copper ore.

(+5) to (+6) Chance to de-age only (NO chance to break, do not use copper ore.)If the item is costly to age, use aging stone.

(+7) to (+8) Chance to de-age and break. Using Aging stone is recommended than copper ore.

(+9) High chance to de-age and break. Using Aging stone is still recommended than copper ore.

(+10) to (+18) Its all luck. Always use copper ore if you value the item.

SOD

How to be a pro in sod? First rule: DO NOT ANYHOW USE SEALS!

SEALS that you can use immediately: Quake, +5000pts
SEALS you use at the end of rounds: Freeze, Stun
SEALS you should never touch unless you are pro: Guardian Saint, Stygian
special SEAL rabie should try to use at rd3, rd6 or rd8.

Take note SOD is only open at daybreak in ALPHA server.

Little Things that you should know

There is no 80E items in EPT.

NO one can defeat Kelvezu in EPT.

You need to have at least 400 life to survive Babel's single hit.

NO mage can SOLO and kill Rasha in SOD. Mage is the worst 1v1 char in EPT

NO players can kill mage in Bless Castle if the mage isnt a noob.

Min level to enter SOD is level 40

There are really shields with RARE block % in EPT. (example 19% block blaze, 20% block Great Shield)

Priestess
Guide by Gwenavyere

This is the usual build for strength priestesses. Although you can use a shield with it, I advise you to use an orb. Orbs own. End of story.

Stats

str = 75-80 for 80D glove
agi = 72-77 for 80D boots
spirit = 222-232 for 80D robe
talent = 77-81 for 80D robe
health = rest of your stat points go here..(if you like power, put more in spirit)

This build makes it extremely easy to tank most spawns..
but only with a good skill build
My skill build is

Tier 1-3

first, get meditation to 10,
next, level virtual life to 10
next, level divine lightning to 7 or 10 (both are popular)
next, level holy reflection and multispark at the same time..
alternate the skill points
Once all of the above skills are 10, level extinction to 10

My reasoning is, that extinction at higher levels has a major delay. And unless you can afford to stand around tanking the hits till you can use the skill again, keep it lower level

Tier 4 skills

First level 10 muspell
Next, level 10 chain lightning
Then put the rest of your stat points into glacial spike.

My reasoning is, that if you go to sod or hardcore train in iron 2, chain lightning helps out loads. Level multispark first because you NEED that tanking ability especially at the lower levels.

This may differ for those who just want to get 10x and make priestesses their little LT hunting bitches cuz it freezes their LT monsters[which is a waste IMO, priestesses own]

In that case, glacial spike 10..rest in CL afterwords.

Builds

Power
The build preferred by most high leveled Mechs, Power builds, as the name states, prioritizes attacking power over defense. In order to use the full potential of this build, Power builds require a two-handed weapon, like a scythe, to deal awesome damage. As for stats, WIS, AGI and TAL should be as the equipment requires, STM should be left alone, and the rest of the points dumped into STR. Skill-wise, prioritize Maximize, Grand Smash and Mechanical Weapon Mastery from the earlier tiers, then Metal Golem from tier 4 (the higher leveled Mechs may opt not to have the Golem, however fluffy it may be <3). These should be the first skills a Power Mech will have mastered. Later on, work on Compulsion, Physical Absorption and Extreme Shield to add tankability for those solo jobs.

The only real downside to a Power Mech is that expensive, top quality gear is a must. A Power Mech will not live long without this.

Tank
Taking advantage of a Mechanician's already high defense, a Tank build is built to last. The most valuable asset a Tank Mech will have is a shield. A Tank Mech with only a shield and Extreme Shield on will be able to survive Pikes a-plenty at BC. In regards to stats, STR, WIS, AGI and TAL should be at the requirements with everything else devoted towards STM. Skill-wise, Extreme Shield should be top priority, with Physical Absorption and Metal Armour following. As with tier 4, Completion should be mastered first, with either Metal Golem (for hunting) or Magnetic Spheres (for PvP) as optional extras.

Being the most inexpensive build, the obvious downside to Tank Mechs is the fact that they are absolutely rubbish at killing things.

Hybrid
A build for the indecisive, Hybrids have balanced offensive and defensive capabilities. They can use either one-handed or two-handed weapons. There is a number of ways to build a Hybrid Mech. Hybrids are purely custom, therefore have no real standard. Players may opt to use the skill sets of either Tank or Power Mechs with mixed stats.

Although Hybrids usually have a more potent attack than Tankers, it is still mediocre compared to that of a Power Mech.

Spark
For those with high-end computers, every minute spent leveling on rPT is turned into a laser show with a Spark Mech! The aim of the game is to hit as many things at once, hence making Spark Mechs the only true AoE (Area of Effect) Mechanician build. Spark Mechs use a Shield and a one-handed weapon to dish out the minute, but consistent damage. For Stats, a Spark Mech may opt for a Tanker-esque stat build, prioritizing STM over all (the rest to equipment requirements). Spark Shield and Spark are essential for Spark Mechs, with Physical Absorption, Metal Armour and Completion on the side to help with the damage taking. For attacking skills, use either Great Smash or Spark (to save on Skill Points) with Impulsion.

In reality, Spark Mechs are only useful at lower levels where monsters don't take a lot of damage to knock down.

Auto
A build for the unique, an Auto Mech makes use of a Mechanician's versatility. Armed with bows and javelins, Auto Mechs use the only bow/javelin specific skill to add attack speed, making them the fastest attacking Mechanician build. The range makes Auto Mechs useful decoys for hunts. Stats should have STR as the point pool, with WIS, TAL and AGI to equipment requirements. Skill-wise, Auto Mechs should invest points into Automation, Mechanician Weapon Mastery and Extreme Shield for tiers 1 through to 3. As for tier 4, master Completion first, then aim to get that Metal Golem to Lv10.

The only thing Auto Mechs have to boast about is their attack speed. They have nothing else going for them.

Interesting Tips

- Poison Attribute is a useless skill. Do not even consider wasting Skill Points on this skill.
- Mech users with low-end computers should take precautions when using Completion in crowded spawns. This has been known to cause client crashes.
- There is a bug that allows Mechanic Bomb to have an infinite range. Although useless, it does look quite awesome.
- Metal Armour, Physical Absorption, Maximize and Automation do not stack. Metal Armour, however, automatically incorporates 120% of Physical Absorption's ABS bonus.
- Extreme Shield and Spark Shield do not stack.
- Spark, Mechanic Bomb and Great Smash are a Mechanician's only true AoE skills.
- The damage done by Spark, Mechanic Bomb, Spark Shield and Impulsion is independent from a Mech's attack power.
- A Metal Golem's HP is dependent on the STR stat of a Mech.
- Metal Armour requires MS armour in order to work.
- The bonus from Mechanic Weapon Mastery only applies to MS weapons.
- Impulsion requires that all targets are within range to achieve the maximum number of hits.
- Metal Golems are primarily used as bugging tools during high leveled hunts.
- It is possible to bug a monster using only Completion and a Metal Golem.

Guide by Easy4me2own

Stats

Strength - 104-111 for 80d armor
Spirit - 64-72 for murky
Talent - 90 for 80d armor
Agility - rest of your stat points
Health - base

Skills (leveled , trained & being used)

Shield strike level 1, but 100% trained,
Shield strike

This skills allows you to stun your oponent for a short amount of time, and with enemy monsters it pushes back
keep it level 1, very usefull since stun duration doesnt increase on higher lvl

throwing mastery level 10
duh, more damage

Windy level 10
Windy
it adds more attack rating and 30 more range, very usefull skill, but especially in player vs player mode
(it adds 100% attack rating based on your javelin attack rating on level 10)

Soul Sucker level 10
Soul Sucker
This skill is a tricky one, in low level maps it is pretty useless, in pvp also,
but then we go endless tower, its a good skill to use against the monsters there
and it can also go thru walls , so if u stucked a monster, u can use soulsucker ^^
Disadvantages;
it doesnt work when monster is under 50%
it doesnt work against undead
it doesnt work rly good against mechanic
it doesnt work rly good against a shitload of monsters, but ok against spirits ^^
the delay is increased alot last patch
skill is still pretty buggy
Note* this skill only usefull for hunting.

Split Javelin level 1
Useless skill, you have vengeance wich is better and spamable and adds range ^^

Triumph of Valhalla lvl 10
increases damage and is needed to have better effect for hall of valhalla
(those 2 skills chain)
it also gives a buff to your fellow party members, but they only get 50% of the effect.
50% of the damage your friends receive

Storm Javelin lvl 10
well, its atalanta's only ''ok'' masskill withoud a delay
still sucks compared to other masskills from other classes tho

Hall of valhalla lvl 10

Hall of valhalla
Depending on what level your triumph of valhallah is, it adds the damage from triumph of valhalla
Hall of valhalla's own ability is adding evasion, 23% on level 10 so its pretty usefull
it also gives a buff to your fellow party members, but they only get 50% of the effect.
50% of the evasion and 50% of the damage

Extreme Rage level 10
this skill has a big delay, and does only 1 hit time damage
but it is usefull in exping in combination with storm Javelin
why make it level 10? becouse frost Javelin is bugged ^^

Frost javelin level 1
this skill freezing time doesnt increase between level 1 and 10, its bugged, dont know why
this skill added damage doesnt apply on skills, so its useless

Vengeance level 10
its ur main and strongest 1:1 skill, and gives you extra damage
Note: current version is bugged, vengeance only gives 50% dmg boost instead of 100%, will be fixed next patch
another downgrade, the skills uses alot of stm and MP, and you need elite points for it becouse its tier 4.

Remaining skill points i putted in Farina (will be level 5)
why? adding speed can help with maturing, for the rest its useless.

8 spr adds +1 to min damage
1 health adds 2 hp, 2 weight

Str: Add enough just for using shield (If you wanna be a shield mage)
Spr: Alot! For power!
Agl: Recommened not to touch at all unless you really like def/abs
Tal: Add just enough to wear robe
Stm: For health, any extra stats points should go here.

Different Magician builds

Regular Mage
Desc: Mage with blaze shield. Invest some points into str to use a blaze for its block. Looks better than using orb. 80% of the mages is this build. yawnz.
Looks: Average
Power: Average
Tanking: Average
Why this build? Looks cool with blaze and believed to tank better with 18% block.

Stats:
add str enough for blaze shield
add tal enough for robes
some stm for health
rest goes to spr
NO agl
Gear:
Age wand according to your level
Age robe according to your level
Age or dgem blaze shield. (i would prefer dgem +40hp). Get 18% block blaze. (Used to have 19% block, but now no more.)

Pure Mage
Desc: Traditional mage that uses a wand and orb.
Looks: Boring
Power: Above Average
Tanking: Above Average
Why this build? People who doesnt believe that 18%block makes a difference. Orb have higher def than a blaze. This build depends on def and abs. They can have higher health cos they no need to invest in str. Your last wand is archwand.

Stats:
NO str
add tal enough for robes
decent amount for health
rest goes to spr
NO agl

Gear:
Age perf Archwand wand
Age robe according to your level
Age orb according to your level

Shield Mage
Desc: Mage with shield. Not just a blaze, but goes all the way to great shield or even mystic shield! For the looks and survivor!
Looks: Awesome
Power: Below Average
Tanking: Awesome
Why this build? Shame a knight by having the same shield with his! Woot! Very high def, very high abs, high block. But power abit low due to the str invested on shields. But who cares, i look COOL!

Stats:
add str enough for next shield (you will need hell lot)
add tal enough for robes
NO stm for health (unless you want to be ulber tanker)
rest goes to spr
NO agl
Gear:
Age wand according to your level
Age robe according to your level
Age robe according to your level (no dgem, cos you go for def/abs).
